Start your week right: read these

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Start the week

Start your week right with these reads. Every Monday we'll send out blogs, reports, discussions and events to help inspire, inform and excite you for the rest of the week.

1. Redesigning the culture and functionality of government
Read Jesper Christensen's look at how public servants search for 'the common good' and what it means to be a civil servant and how they work.

2. Randomised control trials: silver bullet or fools gold?
Sally Cupitt at the NCVO Charities Evaluation Services has written a fantastic in depth look at how randomised control trials didn't work for her but how they could work for others.

3. Transforming Digital
John Fitzpatrick is 7 weeks into redesigning Civil Service Learning using the new GDS service standard. He's blogged about his experiences; it's a great read for those in both digital and policy areas.

4. Your business needs a chief design officer
Annabella Condrick from the Design Council writes for the Guardian on how design is going to define the future of services and products. She looks at the economic value of design and asks for it to take a more integral role in building our world.
